Read To Me?

Will read through the next page of "a study in scarlet" imagining himself in Holmes's iconic outfit, even though he knew the old detective had probably only worn the getup once. He heard a crinkle, and peered over the hardback at the teal diaper encircling his waist, but noting nothing amiss aside from a slight dampness, his eyes slid back down to the page and he continued reading.

There came another crinkle, louder this time and followed shortly by a cubby giggle. Will levered himself upright, closing the novel and gingerly placing a foot-paw against the floor to steady himself. Just as his other paw was descending he glanced down and stopped it a few inches from a fluffy grey ear. Terry grinned up at him from behind his pacifier, no doubt at the fact that his big brother had one is his mouth as well. One of his tiny white foot-paws was grasped in his left hand, and his large fluffy tail wagged to and fro, eliciting a round of crinkles from the rather large diaper around his pudgy middle.

The unscarred half of Will's muzzle quirked up in a grin behind his pacifier. (a habit he'd actually picked up from Terry, suprisingly.) He inclined his head, waiting for his baby brother to speak. Terry pulled his pacifier out and spoke in a light babyish voice, "Can oo reads dat to me big bwo?"
Will smiled and laid back out on the bed, Resting his back against one of the pillows heaped at it's head, then gently patted the spot beside him. Terry got the message and clambered up, his bushy tail wagging faster still, prompting an answering crinkle from his diaper.

Terry curled up beside his big brother, nestling against his chest and purring softly. Will pulled his own pacifier out, set it on the bed beside him, and began to read, putting on what he felt was the accent of a portly British gentleman,
" In the year 1878 I took my degree of Doctor of Medicine of the University of London, and proceeded to Netley to go through the course prescribed for surgeons in the Army... "






Yes Will's wallpaper is cloudy sky. I felt I ought to do something different with his room, considering Terry's has milky way wallpaper on one wall and pawprints on another. All in all i'm really happy with how this one turned out. I've been using more saturated colors to shade recently, rather than just flat gray like i used to. The luminous effect for will's eyes was unintentional, But I do like how it looks and will probably keep that as canon for him. (maybe thats why he's usually wearing tinted lenses?)
